I'm packaging up a login client for cable and am after some advice re collecting and storing the username and password. How do I ask the user for their username and password during the install (should I be doing this?) and then write them to the config file? Also, how do I make the client start automatically - I take it I have to write an init script but how do I look after the links? Replies to me - I'm not on the list. - samj
