native/non-nativ Package

Hello,

as far as I got it, a package with a version containing a '-X' is a
native package.

I packaged a programm (of myself). It contains a debian-directory and
I can generate a native source-package out of the source, giving
ppplog_0.7.tar.gz and ppplog_0.7.dsc. If I change the version from 0.7
to 0.7-1 I get ppplog_0.7-1.tar.gz, ppplog_0.7-1.dsc and no diff? I
have expected getting an empty ppplog_0.7-1.diff.gz.

If it has a version-number of 0.7-1, but the source-package has no
diff, is it still a non-native package?
