I install them both and then update one of them. :)
(Yes it was a bit tricky to install it the first time ;)

But it will be just one pacakge in the future. I just realized that the
reason why I got the other error (the one complaining about no shlibs
in shlibs package) was because that the shlibs file did not export
any symbols. So it seems like it was no good Idéa to make a shared lib
of it. :)

But the error message should be changed and tell about that possibility.
Even better would be if lintian checks if there is a file named as a shared
library and check if that file exports any symbols.

So now I'm going back to the previous solution with just one package. I
will probably upload it today and tomorrow. Where do I tell that
uploaded packages should be removed?
