RE: Bug#30680: gmp3: libjpeg version errors

I have a problem reproducing a bug.

I have installed the same version of the Debian package libjpegg6a,
but I don't get an error.
I tried the following:

This package contains the shared library.

As far as I understand this Gmp3 uses the shared library "/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.6a",
wich is a link to the file "/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.6a.0.0". That file is part
of the package libjpegg6a. Both the writer of the bugreport and myself have
installed version 6a-12 of the Debian package.
Why does the writer of the bugreport get an error while I don't?
Any hints appreciated (including any enlightment
about shared libs -- I don't know much about them,
ldconfig, ldd, ...)!
