Ok. I have figured this out by myself. The linking step was missing "one
argument" aka:

`gtk-config --libs`

Now everything is ok, but I am not sure if this was really needed. Can
somebody give my some more explanations why do I have to do this or what
are the advantages ? Or the problems with this solution.

TIA,
