Beginners problem with cvs-buildpackage

Hi there,

I successfully used cvs-buildpackage for my 1st .deb, but
after upgrading from `cvs_1.9.10+openbsd' or so to
`cvs_1.9.29-1' it does not work anymore. CVS stops with
the following message:

cvs [export aborted]: absolute pathname
  '/usr/local/src/Packages/my-package/my-package-0.0'
  illegal for server

The directory /usr/local/src/Packages/my-package has been
created, but nothing more. My CVSROOT variable is set to
`:pserver:my-account@my-machine:/var/cvsroot' as usual.
My version of cvs-buildpackage is 2.11. The
/etc/cvsdeb.conf has not been changed (comments only).

Btw: I don't want to downgrade CVS, because I had another
problem with the old version.

Is there something I do wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help!
