Yep! Slowly, but we're making progress :)

Technically, t2u is still in Beta. There's also #1106071 filed for supporting pristine-tar. I'd suggest to wait a little bit before we change our workflows.
I am hopeful that support eventually will be added.

I'd suggest subscribing to the BTS bug if you're interested in this. But to recap: we've agreed upon the technical specification that the implementation should follow, and I "just" need to implement it correctly.

I've been pretty busy with non-Debian stuff lately, but t2u pristine-tar support is still high in my TODO list.
