OK, I see libnifti2-2 provides unversioned libnifti2 while libnifti2
(2.0.0+git186-g84740c2-1) is still on sid repos.

Versioned dependences require versioned provides as mentioned here:
  https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#virtual-packages-provides


I've also noticed salsa repo contains '3.0.1-5' version not '3.0.1-6'.

I think I've fixed both problems in this MR:
