pigx-rnaseq fails cowbuilder Fwd: Bug#968944 closed by Debian FTP Masters <ftpmaster@ftp-master.debian.org> (reply to Andreas Tille <tille@debian.org>) (Bug#968944: fixed in datatables-extensions 0.0+git20150910.28fd64e+dfsg-4)

Hello,

pigx-rnaseq is not ready, yet. Thank you all for your swift action on
the datatables-extensions, that is not where the problem is - it fails
already four tests earlier.

I need to investigate this further.

Steffen

Package: libjs-jquery-datatables-extensions
Version: 0.0+git20150910.28fd64e+dfsg-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

When using pandoc this somehow senses the need to work with fonts and bails out since the file vfs_fonts.js is not found in the build folder.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

This all becomes an issue while building (testing) the pigx-rnaseq package.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

pandoc:
/usr/lib/R/site-library/DT/htmlwidgets/lib/datatables-extensions/Buttons/js/vfs_fonts.js:
openBinaryFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I understand that the file with a copy of the GenShinGothic font (nice, but under a non-free license) is not redistributed. Instead, along instructions found on the net, Debian should prepare such a file itself with fonts that it ships. And the libjs-jquery-datatables-extensions should then get runtime dependencies on these font packages.

Thanks!

Steffen
