Re: loompy

Hi Diane,

I hope I had found your package on salsa and continued on that. Only now
while googling for it, I came across your reply to my ITP. Please
forgive me. I have no recollection about it at all and just checked my
inbox. The package in version 2.0.17 was rejected on January the 4th,
2020 (see Thorsten's email) and an hour later I have then uploaded
version 3.0.6 to salsa, likely with a fix of that license ... in the
very back of my mind I daunt to recall that this file with a different
license was gone. No idea if I had uploaded that also to New - could not
find it there. If you have the strength, please adopt it from salsa.

Sidenote: The certificate of https://tracker.debian.org/ expired.

Many thanks - and sorry for having lost track of it

Steffen

Hi Steffen,

please mention Kevin Wu and Hannes von Doehren together with their licenses in your debian/copyright.
(probably loompy-2.0.17/assets/LoomR_logo.ai needs to be removed from the package)

Please do not add a TODO-list to debian/changelog. There are better places for such stuff.

  Thorsten

Hi,

I hadn't filed a ITP for loompy, but had built a package for testing
purposes.

Steffen Moeller did file a ITP back in Aug 2019.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=934597

I tried asking them about the status on 02 March, but haven't heard
back. Does anyone know Steffen and know what the status of the
packaging is?

I could pretty easily finish my earlier tests and submit if
appropriate.

I found it was a test dependency for anndata
https://pypi.org/project/anndata/

Which is a dependency for scanpy
https://pypi.org/project/scanpy/

Which is a single-cell RNA seq analysis package.
