Re: Backports of R packages.

Hello,

I don't mind to work on this issue, although I would appreciate detailed guidance. I'm sorry, but I didn't understand much. I only figured that debci is some system that runs autopkgtest for packages and it needs to be used for packages in jessie-backports. I don't know how to setup this system (either if the common hardware is needed) and where I can find this information. Also I'm worry that I don't know what to do with the results of such mass-run of autopkgtest. Sorry again, I wish I could be more independent.

Regards, Nadiya Sitdykova

I do not want to defend my above suggestion but something general about
timeline should be said here:  Timelines are made to be ruined in favour
of a better time line.  In three monthes things might occure that might
make other tasks way more important than those once put on the timeline.
I'd defend any changes to the timeline and convince outreachy
administrators that Nadiya did a better job than once put on the
timeline.  So this should be a non-issue.

I'd rather prefer that Nadiya will be able to learn as much as possible
to dive into Debian internals since the goal of Outreachy is to
integrate newcomers to the community which IMHO can be done better by
taking some challenges rather than working down a stupid plan.  So
please take my suggestion as an offer - sticking to the original
timeline is for sure fine as well.

That's the attitude I really like.  I admit I'm proud that I had the
pleasure to work with you in last Outreachy project and you are now
becoming involved in our cute little Debian Med project.

Lets keep on discussing here.  If some common hardware is needed to
setup a working platform I can create logins at debian-med.debian.net -
just sent me your prefered login name and a ssh key.

Kind regards

     Andreas.
