I uploaded it after changing the maintainer to the Debian Med team which
we somehow forgot in the first place. By doing so the team will not
miss the bugs inside the package ...

Are you sure you are building in a clean pbuilder chroot?. It should be
gdcm 2.6.x not gdcm 2.4.4
