However, while acknowledging that medical imaging is indeed "minority interest": within that community, DCMTK is a very well-known DICOM toolkit, so I'd advocate for retaining DCMTK in the short description. Perhaps: C++ wrapper library for DCMTK (DICOM medical imaging toolkit) -Steve
