I guess you are mixing up upstream version (= 0.9.0) and Debian package
version 0.9.0-3.  Uscan is just verifying the upstream version number
and ignored the Debian package revision.

I can not help myself but your script must do something else than a
plain uscan since uscan is ignoring the Debian revision number.

I can not comment on this but I can not believe that Ubuntu uscan is
doing something terribly different than the Debian version.
