Hi Andreas,

I have added a brief mention of experimental branches:

    Other branches
    
    Changes uploaded to other distributions than unstable can be stored in other
    branches, named for instance experimental, stable, etc. 

I do not the details on how the Octave team manages the branch, so I did not
write advices about merging, etc.

For my own packages, I am quite tempted to compeletely collapse the changelog
entries when merging back to the master branch.  I am often annoyed in other
packages when key changes brought by the last upload to unstable are actually
documented a couple of entries below in uploads to experimental.
