No, you don't.  I just removed it and did some other simple enhancements
according to our standards.

Then I tried building the package and noticed that the clean target fails:

   make -f debian/rules clean

It is somehow involved with moving around non-existing binaries.  As I
said in my last mail: The best thing would be if these binaries would
not be there from the beginning.

And BTW, as I said I can not see a way how to obtain the source tarball
(neither from git nor from upstream homepage).
