This would be really cool. BTW, it might be possible to take some
metadata like description etc from the source rpm - not very helpful but
it might safe some time.

Debian Med SVN is fine. While it does not really belong into the
medical scope we have some preconditions of other medical packages for
the same reason. For you it is just simpler to stick to one single
repository (except if you decide yourself that it is more appropriate
to go somewhere else).
