While I hear this argument (databases fairly often) I cannot accept it :-)

For one thing she has you as experts :-)

What we as the GNUmed team seem to always dispute is that there are users who 
cannot or will not involve external help. So this boils down to not using 
postgresql or working with a preconfigured local (extra) copy of PG. This 
technically is nonesense but some users want a software which will not bother 
them with database setup. Even mysql needs to be setup so all you can use is 
sqlite I guess.
