Re: gwyddion is in unstable

finally (thanks, Steffen, for all the unsuccessful uploads you had to do ;-)
), gwyddion (Scanning Probe Microscopy analysis) entered unstable last
weekend. I looked through some Debian-Med websites and wanted to ask if you
would like to add gwyddion or update them, respectively.

Thanks for your work.

* http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-med/imaging
should be updated (gwyddion can now be moved to the section official packages).

We try to replace these static pages by the dynamical ones.
If somebody volunteers to maintain them for the last couple
of days - just go for it.

Maybe gwyddion would also be a candidate for this task?

Maybe even a candidate for this one???

Well, I have to trust the users which category they would
look first. If you think it would at best fit in physics
I would add the package to this task and it will appear
automatically on the web page.

If you agree to add gwyddion, I can probably try to do this myself.

You could do this but it is quite the same situation as with
the static page.

These are the webpages I found - maybe there are more - some of you know
probably a lot better.

You found the relevant sites. I just want your confirmation
that the package fits better into physics than imaging.

Another question: Is there a policy on tagging of releases? Should I tag all
versions, which entered unstable, or is this not necessary or should I do as
I like?

I think we tagged every upload to unstable (at least it is
my understanding). I think if we only commit the debian
directory it is probably no wast of space.

Kind regards

            Andreas.
