Re: [Debian-med-packaging] [arb] Bug in makefile.patch

Well some kind of cooperation between me and debian med project would

Well, I have no idea how far biological software in openSUsE are
integrated. The Debian Med project tries to integrate any software
which might be interesting for tasks in medical care - free biological
software is consequently an important part od Debian Med. Finally
we want to turn Debian into the distribution of choice for people
working in the field of medicine - well this might be a potential
conflict because we are competing for your users ;-) - but finally
we are working on the same side to spread free software amongst users
in medical care / biology. Here is the list of software that is
integrated into Debian

You might like to point your friends to this list and ask them
what might be interesting for their work. I guess preparing packages
for openSUsE might be a lot easier once you have the Debian packaging.
My idea was that openSUsE might contain some stuff we are currently
missing and would be able to adopt something.

Can we meet on any more realtime
place? Kind jabber MUC or IRC channel and discuss potential
cooperation?

I admit I'm on one hand a little bit old fashioned and basically refuse
to chat - but this is no real dogma. There is a #debian-med channel
at irc.freenode.net - which is more or less unused. Perhaps we might
agree to a meeting at this channel - but not before 27. October - I'm
just back from vacation with a large mail backlog and will move to
OSWC in Málaga the day after tomorrow - so I would like to stay on this
channel for the moment - perhaps some other Debian Med members might
step in.

Kind regards

      Andreas.
