Sure, it's in pkg-perl's SVN repository, see the scripts in:

Thanks for the link.

(I usually use combinations of apt-cache, dpkg, grep and sed to retrieve what I
need :) )

Fine. :)

I've embedded it in dh-make-perl. If you have it, my code is in version 0.32.
Or you can take a look at it:

OK, I'll look into this.

I'm not subscribed to that list, should I? I'm not really interested in general
CDD discussions. Is it a high-volume list?

I don't know if you should subscribe. In principle this kind of discussion
is more on topic there than in Debian-Med list. The problem of this list is
that nobody cares about the overall topic of the debian-custom list which
is "Discussing common issues between Debian-Edu, Debian-Med, Debian-Jr, etc.".
Because of the really badly choosen name "Custom Debian Distribution" for
these _internal_ projects, people tend to post things about their own
customisation issues or how to build random live CDs. So currently there
are a lot of off-topic mails on this list if you are rigorous. But I
stopped criticising this on the list because it is a really low volume
list and sometimes there might spring some good ideas out of these discussions
which are finally asked for by our users.

Kind regards

         Andreas.
