Re: Please, stop abusing ddtss/DDTP

Sorry for the big delay in my reply. I'm not on vacation yet, and I'm
writing from a University terminal. They believe I'm doing some kind
of research, actually.

Well, here's the question: update-ddtp does not use the web interface
to generate statistics. Those are generated from the
Translation-<lang> files available for APT to download.

As regards the test that Felipe Augusto (faw) has done:

I've checked also with Italian: proda is translated [1], but it loads
the translation window also without the "force fetch" check. Maybe
this is just a bug of the interface?

I believe that the whole thing isn't related to my script (anymore);
the removal of "force=yes" from the fetch url _mustn't_ retrieve
already-translated packages. That would ensure the correct functioning
of my script and of the web interface. Therefore, I strongly believe
it's a bug in the web interface itself, which retrieves the package
nevertheless, be it still to-do or already translated.

Please consider that my next connection will probably be on Friday.
Don't expect any reply before that date ;)

Have a nice day,
David
