It is definitely useful IMO and should be in. But its usefulness will not be
obvious to people outside the field. As a sidenote: A proper setup of tags
for software in Debian _is_ science.

the debian-med svn repository under trunk/community/debtags, with the
requested tags. Please commit your additions/improvements there so we
get a canonnical overview of the tags we're requesting:

Dear all,
I took the opportunity of the arrival of EMBOSS in Debian (and of the
Shÿÿwa day which is holiday here) to have a look again at debtags. I
modified our svn file to reflect the many sequence formats supported by
EMBOSS, but I think that we have to discuss a bit more about the naming
schemes we would propose to the debtags team.
It think that we should try to avoid redundnancy as much as possible.
For instance, since there is field::biology tag, I think that it is not
needed to specify that the formats are biological. However, I am
wondering if it would help or not to make them subtags of
works-with-format::plaintext.

I also would like to request a suite::tag, as there will be EMBASSY
packages which will distribute some EMBOSS programs in separate pacakges
(usually ports or non-free programs).
