Re: LinuDent Info for Debian-med and Brave Gnu World

Hello,

just an announcement I've got in private mail (attached at bottom) to let
you know.

My personal opinion: We just have odontolinux in Debian but - as it works with
free software - why not having an alternative. On the other hand - things will
be done if someonw volunteers to do it. The advantage of odontolinux from
the Debian point of view is that one of the authors is Debian developer and
builded Debian packages himself. So if someone wants to package LinuDent
it is time to raise up hands. (If he needs some help in packaging stuff
it is also time to raise up hands.)

Moreover I have to add my main concern for the Debian-Med project: Bring
authors together. I would really love if both groups of upstream authors
would come together and bring in the advantages of both of there programs
to make perhaps a unique product with the marbels of both original
projects. In my opinion this would increase the user base and would lead
to a better open software world if we join forces.

Kind regards

         Andreas.

PS: Independedly from this letter I planned to include LinuDent into
the Debian-Med web pages. Unfortunately I felt asleep yesterday
evening after doing some writing and translations on the web pages
just before I wanted to start with LinuDent.
