Re: Preparing to announce Squeeze LTS end-of-life

Regarding the date do you propose we end support on the 14th sharp or on

the LTS scope soonish).

If I may weigh in:

When support has ended, people will always come and ask for special favors in the following days/weeks.

Being nice to these people is fine by me, but there is no need to change the end-of-support date for that.

Keeping the end-of-support date at February 6 (yep!) makes it clear that any effort made after last Saturday is purely a matter of extraordinary courtesy.

That way, you are free to say at any later time "sorry, we no longer have spare capacity to handle Squeeze security updates".

Additionally, I think it's fine to handle any updates to Squeeze on a consultancy basis, but then not via the official mirrors.
