They should work just fine, the LSB team continue to test on a deb-based system regularly (yes, it's Ubuntu...sorry...). Testing these days is nomrally driven by a test manager from the lsb-dist-checker package (this is a big part of the work that was done by ISPRAS, mentioned in a different message in this thread), which manages what packages need to be installed and handles the conversion of packages if it's needed; however, LSB continues to maintain a repository of deb packages to allow installation by normal apt-get means as well:
