Re: Regarding Debian Local Group in Nepal
Hi again James,
About support: please be aware Debian is not backed by a company like Ubuntu or
Fedora are. We are a volunteer organisation. Otoh, for Debian developers
there is https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/DPL/Reimbursement . If you need to make
financial costs you cannot carry yourself, and assuming you have no official
Debian Developer status yourself, best would be to apply for Debian Maintainer
status, and/or get in touch with trusted Debian people. I am not aware of any
Debian people in Nepal, but I know there are various very active communities in
India. We have over 10 trusted Debian people in India. See also
https://wiki.debian.org/DebianIndia . For Debian merchandise see e.g.
https://www.debian.org/events/ .
Does this help you to get started?
Bye,
Joost
