Rebuilding the image with the most basic settings using amd64 hybrid image with minimal base system still results in a failure to start the Login service. Installing dbus in the live system while it is booted allows the service to start. There is an additional issue that appears almost immediately during the boot process. It does not show up in log files. I had to pause the virtual machine to catch it. Any insight as to what this could be? Decompressing Linux... Parsing Elf... done.
