Bug#738146: live-boot: Swap partition does not autoconfigure
Package: live-boot
Version: 4.0~a7-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Testing this now with debian-live-7.0.0-i386-xfce-desktop.iso (transferred to a
usb pen with syslinux).
The parameter "swapon" as described in "man live-boot" does nothing at all.
Looking at /lib/live/boot/3020-swapon it should anyway be "swap" mot "swapon"
Adding "swap" to cmdline, a correct entry is written to /etcfstab.d/swap ..
however that swap partition is not activated. Current versions of libmount
(util-linux) do not read and process fstab.d
This behaviour is also observed on custom sid live builds using current live-
boot from experimental. It is a problem for machines with low ram.
My temporary working fix is to edit 3020-swapon (inside the initrd) to write to
/etc/fstab
