the version of live-build is shown on the right side of the 'Submit' button on http://live-build.debian.net/cgi-bin/live-build
however, putting it explicit in the header of the logfile would be indeed very useful (in fact, it would probably make sense to display that information in all cases as part of the build process anyway; in live-build itself, regardless of the cgi).
