I downloaded the lxde image from: http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/release/current-live/i386/usb-hdd/ , i.e. debian-live-502-i386-lxde-desktop.img
Booting from a usb-stick with this image on it failed.
Architecture: i386 (atom N270)
