local packages have always worked flawlessly since quite long time...
which version of live-helper are you using? what's the failure/error
messages?

you probably forgot to configure the repository signing key for
deb.opera.com; or they changed the repository signing key.

you probably have not configured your chroot_sources right. have you
snipplets for both the chroot and the binary indices?
