I wouldn't bother with the .tgz installer. A .deb package that is
officially meant for Ubuntu but works fine for me under Squeeze and
Sid (haven't tried it under Lenny) can be downloaded at
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_10_linux.deb
