No, it's not a known bug. Could you file a bug against the live-installer
package in the Debian BTS so that this issue can be tracked properly?

When you do so, could you include the output of /proc/partitions, `fdisk
-l /dev/$whatever` after its booted and failed to resume. I've never used
suspend-to-disk personally - does it not require a "resume=/dev/something"
kernel command line parameter?
