Now I see that my problem has been reported as bug #500672, which was
closed by initramfs_1.139-4. I had update live-helper to
1.0.1+20081113.150042 and did not realised that I had to manually
update initramfs in the chroot. So this problem will probably go away
when I rebuild with the latest initramfs in the chroot.
