The key word here is "noexec". Binaries won't be executable from this
NFS mount. Remount it without that flag, and things should at least
get farther. I'll be curious to see if everything works over NFS
after that. NB the nosuid flag may be problematic as well.

I wonder if this is some problem with the mailing list software or
