Trouble with laptop

I have an old laptop, the keyboard doesn't work until the kernel replaces the bios, then the
keyboard works. Debian Live waits for keyboard entry. If could make the iso  start automatically
after 20 seconds or so, my problem would be solved, and I could happily install Debian.
