me, this one, as you can see in the howto, 

mount -o loop debian-live-40r0-rc1-i386-kde-CD.iso /tmp/iso

is the KDE desktop ISO from the archive site,

And you ?

HUMMM !
it looks strange, custom ISO also puts the kernel files in the casper 
directory,
