Just to clarify something: 2.81.0 has already been uploaded — this was
forwarded email from the official build daemons. This change,
therefore, is not preventing the release of 2.81.0 (as you write in
b4b66459).
(It will prevent it from migrating, mind you and thus prevent it being
uploaded to backports.)
