Package: lintian
Severity: normal

Dear maintainer,

I have filed a bug report against a package that do not provide
an empty extended description [1]. After that i checked the tracker
page [2] and i noticed that the lintian warning was not emitted
despite this tag is active (but doesn't catch anything ATM) [3].

I don't know internals of lintian, if I made some mistakes please
feel free to close this report.
Sorry in advance for the noise.

Thanks for your work.

Thanks for the report. I note that these are -dbg packages. From
the source:

            # Ignore debug packages with empty "extended" description
            # "debug symbols for pkg foo" is generally descriptive
            # enough.

In addition, these -dbg packages should disappear "soon" due to automatic
debug packages:

Not at all! Well spotted - please keep looking for other problems :)
