Thanks for the clarification !

In that case, the description needs a rewording, because for velvet
1.2.03~nozlibcopy-1 we were arguing whether it should depend on or recommend
Python because of the python-script-but-no-python-dep tag, while as I
understand now the problem is that the relationship was unversionned ?  (The
problematic scripts have call /usr/bin/env python2.5).

(I also have been confused by the source code which uses $depends in a way that
made me think that it were not checking for recommends).

How about the following ?

"This package either misses to depend on, recommend or suggest the package
python, or does not specify a correct version."
