Package: lintian
Version: 1.23.36
Severity: wishlist

It would be nice if lintian would run the watch file through "uscan" to make sure the
URL and href are spelled right.

I'm sure there are a few packages with broken watch files (I have a few myself) and
this would help bring that number down.

I reviewed this bug again as part of a Lintian bug cleanup, and in this
case I think the program already exists: uscan itself. I think the best
way to fix this would be to run uscan before uploading (possibly by
scripting it as part of your local build process).

I'm going to go ahead and close this bug on Lintian, since Lintian by
design doesn't do this sort of check.
