Are you sure you are running lintian on the .dsc or on a .changes with
references to the .dsc?

$ dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/k/kio-ftps/kio-ftps_0.2-1.dsc
[...]
$ lintian kio-ftps_0.2-1.dsc
