News flash: it seems that SALOME is no longer [2] affected by the Open
CASCADE GPL-incompatibility (since SALOME is licensed under the GNU
LGPL and no longer links with GPL-licensed libraries).

This means that there's one package less affected by the Open CASCADE
GPL-incompatibility (which is good!), but it could also mean that CEA
people are less likely to help in solving the GPL-incompatibility
itself, which still holds, unfortunately...

It's still true that SALOME was affected by this licensing issue in the
past and was removed from Debian due to multiple issues (including the
licensing ones). But the issue no longer affects the current SALOME...
