After re-reading the thread, it seems to me that the majority of the people who participated to that discussion agreed that there were some issues that made the license unacceptable for main. The only new issue that you have just raised is the requirement to keep a changelog in each file: this issue wasn't spotted during the Oct 2008 discussion.
