Yes, *as long as* you are able to extract the MIT-licensed part.

In some cases, the MIT-licensed code is so deeply modified by
GPL-licensed modifications, that figuring out how to reconstruct the
MIT-licensed part is nearly impossible.  In those cases, your only
chance is finding the original MIT-licensed code elsewhere...
