Twinkle 0.8 encorporates iLBC code

Michel,

I see that you have released twinkle 0.8 upstream and included the iLBC code.

In Debian we have been reviewing the iLBC code for sometime and are of the
feeling that it is incompatible with the Debian Free Software Guidelines
(DFSG) and also the GPL.

Please have a look at
http://lists.debian.org/debian-legal/2005/10/msg00000.html

We have been stripping the ilbc code from a number of debian packages, to
create dfsg compliant packages, such as kiax, openh323 and shortly asterisk.

While it is up to you to decide if you can distribute twinkle with iLBC code
under the GPL. We will need to strip out the iLBC code to make the packages
DFSG compliant.

I recommend you remove the iLBC code from twinkle, unless you can obtain
better free software licencing terms for iLBC.

Mark
