Breaking news!!
The FSF has recently disclosed details about the drafting process that
will be adopted for the upcoming version 3 of the GNU GPL.
A first public draft is planned to be released 16-17 January 2006 (at
the International Public Conference for GPLv3 at MIT).
A second public draft is due on June 2006; a third one will possibly be
out on October 2006.
Final text is scheduled to be released between September 2006 and March
2007.
The FSF seems to encourage commentary on each public draft by anyone
interested, and promises to identify and resolve every issue that is
brought to their attention.

I think that doing everything possible to assure that GPLv3 will be
DFSG-free is of paramount importance...
Should debian-legal@lists.debian.org be signed up directly (provided
this is possible *at all*!), in your opinion?
Or do you think signing up individual personal e-mail addresses would be
better?
