Thanks for the update! :) This would solve the copyright side of the issue, since then it would be possible to relicense the logos under a DFSG-free copyright license (I personally recommend the Expat a.k.a. MIT license: http://www.jclark.com/xml/copying.txt). There's still the trademark side to be addressed, and here the headscratching begins... what trademark rights have we to grant in order to make (at least the open use) logo DFSG-free?
