No, it doesn't. CDs have a SCMS, which is a form of DRM. Yet, if we chose not to utilize the DRM features of the CD format, we can distribute on CDs.
As long as we do not obstruct reading or copying, we're fine. The fact that the media, the software, the whatever has the capability to do so is irrelevant.
